Talkr Plug-In

with 3 comments

Talkr is a service that converts blog entries into mp3 files and allows bloggers to syndicate them through a talkr feed. In addition, it can be used as a link on a blog entry to allow the entry to be read aloud. Click the “Listen to this post” link below for a demonstration.

There was a talkr plugin for Wordpress, but it seems to have vanished. Thus, here’s my first attempt at writing a Wordpress plug-in, sds_talkr (download. ).

  2. I’m not sure how I can help. The issue is with Talkr, not the plugin. However, I’ve noticed that it skips over parts of posts the include blockquotes. There may be other tags that interfere with reading. You might create a series of test posts to see if you can isolate what’s causing it to stop.

  3. Version 1.0 of the Talkr plugin is in the WordPress codex.
