CCIM MailBridge is a preference-matching email system for the exchange of email among CCIM Designees.
On a typical day, about 8 messages were sent through the CCIMMEMBERS mailing list. In the first hour of MailBridge, we got 45 messages. I think things will settle down a bit as the newness wears off.
We’ve made several updates to the system in response to your suggestions and complaints. First, however, some housekeeping:
If you have not yet done so, please login to the system and set the preferences for the mail you wish to receive. You can restrict messages to those relevant to your state, your preferred property types, etc . This will help cut down on the irrelevant mail in your inbox. You may also completely remove yourself from the MailBridge system. To login, go to CCIM Member Services at http://www.ccim.com. After logging in, click on the CCIM MailBridge link. You may also go directly to http://mailbridge.ccim.com. Login with your member number or designee number.
The upgrades to CCIM MailBridge include:
1) Faster back-end processing. The time to send out a single message is now about 50 minutes.
2) All senders agree to a Terms Of Use (adapted from the existing CCIMMembers list terms).

3) Each message includes a footer with a link back to MailBridge so the receiver can change his/her settings.
4) Senders may now recall messages from their queue of messages. Recalled messages are changed to drafts.
5) Contact information for the sender is automatically put into the message. Senders may edit it. It appears that many senders were not including any contact information in their messages.
6) Messages must have a subject line.
We appreciate the suggestions and even the complaints. We’re pledged to a process of continuous improvement for CCIM MailBridge.
Finally, let me pass along to the senders some advice from the feedback I’ve received:
1) Don’t send out all your inventory at once. Many messages in a row tend to be off-putting.
2) If you do have many properties to send out, perhaps consider sending just one email with brief information about each of them and a link to more information.
3) Include as much relevant information about your have or want as possible. Remember that this is a marketing piece, not just a email you’re dashing off to a close colleague.
4) Read the terms of service to make sure your messages fit the guidelines.
5) When sending a ‘Have’, use the STATE selection to indicate the state in which the property is located. Receivers ’subscribe’ to states through their preferences. If they’re interested in your state, they’ll get the message.

For the past 3 days i have been bombarded with listings on the ccim mailbridge. How can i turn this off?
If I may quote from the footer on the bottom (hmmm… that’s a bit redundant) of every message:
