CCIM MailBridge Update - June 3

without comments

Beginning today, we’ll be deleting draft messages unsent after two weeks.
The CCIMMEMBERS listserve was shutdown on Sunday, June 1.
There will be a few minor tweaks coming up, but the major focus of work on CCIM MailBridge will be to work towards the next version.

  • Choose HAVES, WANTS, GEN, or some subset thereof.
  • Add “Services Offered” as a GEN category. All advertising messages will go here. Initially, opt everyone out of this category. Notify memebers when it is available so they can opt in.
  • CCIMNet/LoopNet integration for HAVE properties.
  • Further definition of “international”.

Going Mobile

with 2 comments

If you’re on the go and looking for a CCIM Designee, point your mobile browser to the CCIM mobile directory at m.ccim.com and select “Find A Professional“. This takes you to the beta version of the mobile platform for our CCIM Partners directory of CCIM Designees.

There are some differences from the “wide screen” version:

  • Pagination is via “prev” and “next”
  • There is no email link, just name, address, and phone
  • There is no clickthrough to the full member profile (because we haven’t redone the formatting for that to mobile formats yet)

This is a beta and we’re looking for feedback on formatting and overall usefulness. The phone number link should dial your phone. The add-to-contacts link should do that, too.

If you run into problems, please email webmaster@cciminstitute.com or post a comment here. Be sure to let us know what phone you’re using.

What’s next? No, Who’s next!

Mobile Access

with 2 comments

We’re still plugging away on this. The trick, it seems, is to determine if a connection (for down the line pages) is from a mobile device. It’s not quite as easy as it sounds. We’ve determined, for example, that the email form’s HTML editing tool works on some phones but not on others. It would be nice to turn it off when the connection is from a phone, in addition to simplifying the page for a narrower screen.

We may make a public link to the test system next week if we can find some solution to some of these issues.

LoopNet Import: Update

with 2 comments

LoopNet began importing CCIMNet property listings this morning at 7:30 Pacific. They estimate that it will 12-14 hours to post them all. The process is complex to avoid duplication. CCIM will be sending them image files later today and they’ll merge them into the listings by Monday. If you have listings on CCIMNet, expect an email from LoopNet on Monday morning advising you to verify your listings.

Updated Profile Editor, Completed Transactions, Mobile Access

with 2 comments

Three things to report as of 2:30 PM:

The CCIM Partners Find A Professional now lists all transactions entered in the completed transactions system prior to June 13. We’re not thrilled with how we display the data and will be changing that in the very near future.

We’re pushing a new member information editor out today. The organization is a lot cleaner. It should be easier to figure out how to update your information.

Finally, and this is the really cool thing, we’ve started testing a mobile version of Find A Professional. We’re keeping it under wraps while we work out the bugs, but it will let you find someone, add them to your phone’s address book, or call them with a couple of clicks, taps, or whatever you do on your phone.

CCIM Partners: Completed Transactions

without comments

In a post earlier today, I noted that we will have links to the currently active property listings on the Find A CCIM Professional resumes.

I forgot to mention that we are currently importing members’ completed transactions and will link them to the resume.

We will also improve the current system for entering completed transactions and the feature that allows us to export them to RERC for inclusion in the CCIM/RERC ITQ research reports.
